We don’t just print cards - we have a full range of finishing equipment on site which enables us to add special finishes to your designs, pack your cards and even fulfill your orders direct to your retailers. We simply are your “one stop shop”.

Die cutting

Die cutting is the process that cuts out non-square shapes from cards using a die cutter. A die cutter is a wooden block which has blades bent to the required design housed in the surface of the wood.

Embossing / Debossing

A process of creating a three-dimensional image or design in card using a metal die stamp. In layman's terms embossing pushes up the image in the board so that it is raised from the surface and can be felt to the touch. Debossing does the opposite and pushes down the image.

Want to make your cards shine out from the crowd, then we can also foil block them. A metal die is stamped on to the foil, making it adhere to the surface of the card. Foils are available in a variety of finishes, including metallic, gloss, matt and satin. Along with standard gold and silver, you can choose from many other colours.

The Imaging Centre can now offer flittering (glittering) to the list of high quality finishes for your greeting cards, to add that bit of magic sparkle.

White Ink

Guess what? White can now be the new black! Both our Indigo digital presses are able to print white ink onto coloured or recycled board.

As part of its continued dedication to the greeting cards industry

The Imaging Centre has invested in a brand new piece of machinery.

The Wrapping Line is the latest addition to the expanding finishing department at The Imaging Centre. Whilst we have always offered a packing service through hand finishing the Wrapping Line is able to pack up to 4000 cards an hour. For our customers this means that we can now print, finish and pack cards all within a contained unit with quicker turnaround times. Perhaps more importantly it also makes packed orders more cost effective.

At The Imaging Centre we do all we can to stay up to date with constant technological advances in finishing equipment. Over the past few weeks we have been testing the latest digital foiling technology which allows us to foil cards without the need for a foil block and there are no minimum order requirements.
